Report from Dublin Self Help Group Meeting

Date: 3 November 2009

Report:

There were about 7 attendees at the group a mixture of familiar faces and one person whom hadn't been to the group in a number of years.

There was an interesting round table which lasted around an hour and which a number of interesting speech related issues were discussed, including voluntary stuttering.

The second hour was spent reading an article on the history of International Stuttering Awareness Days as downloaded from the Stuttering Home Page. Each attendee read a paragraph before moving onto the next person.

In hindsight, it was agreed that the article was a bit too dry at times, especially when we got into paragraph after paragraph about the numbers of bytes downloaded from the website.

Everyone agreed that it was a good exercise though and something similar will be attempted at the next meeting.
