Report from Dublin Self Help Group Meeting

Date: 15 December 2009

Report:

Good turn out for late December. Maybe there aren't as many xmas parties this year to clash with!

The meeting had a long round-table discussion where people spoke about their recent experiences with their speech. This bifurcated (or split up! - Ed) into a number of discussions which included such topics as the recent DAS (Dublin Adult Stuttering) course which had just ended and two of the graduates were in attendance. There was then a short smoke break (we now have smokers again after a couple of years with none)

The last half-hour was spent reading aloud an article by William H. Perkins on 'Techniques for Establishing Fluency' which we got about half way through. There were a number of interesting interruptions as we discussed some of the content in the article. People brought their copies home to finish the article in their own time.

See you all in January!
