Report from Kerry Self Help Group Meeting

Report:

We had a very constructive and effective meeting this month.

The format of the meeting was:

* Monthly roundup (feedback on how people were doing since the last meeting).

*Discussed an article which appeared in The British Stammering Association magazine Speaking Out.

*Discussed the agenda for next months meeting.

The group read and discussed the article from the Doncaster self help group in the spring issue of Speaking Out

The group discussed some ideas about different activities we could do:

Suggestions included:

Going to Listowel Writers week in June.
An art activity at a meeting one month.
The group is considering meeting in Listowel Town every second. month to try attract new members - no definite discussion made yet
Advertise in the local papers the group is moving to Listowel for the June meeting.
An awareness event in Tesco in Killarney in October for awareness month.

*To finish our meeting we discussed the agenda for the next meeting.

We look forward to welcoming new members!

Our next meeting will be held on Thursday June 3rd at 8pm in Listowel town.
