National Stammering Awareness Day 2013

National Stammering Awareness Day 2013

The seventh National Stammering Awareness Day took place on Saturday 19th October with attendees from all over Ireland meeting in the Hilton Kilmainham Hotel in Dublin.

The theme of “People Who Stutter Supporting Each Other” carried throughout the day with inspirational speakers of all ages. A message that stuttering can be a positive part of who you are was evident. Links to some of the presentations will shortly be available on www.nsad.ie

Irish Stammering Association facilitated a number of breakout sessions including a Parents’ Support Network meeting, a group for teenagers to talk and ISAYIT! drama with Gaiety School of Acting.

The day was also kindly sponsored by ‘Speak Soon 
Communications’ with proceeds from book sales of ‘Why I called my sister Harry’ by Michael O’Shea.
